Tom
Dufton
Licensed Funeral Director
Tom came to us from a management background in
industry in Brantford, and is a second-career funeral director. Tom
made the serious decision to alter his career path to allow him to
serve families at this difficult time. Following graduation from the
Funeral Service Education Program in the Health Sciences Division
at Humber College in Toronto, he interned with our firm and was licensed
to practice by the Province of Ontario in 2002. Our client families
have come to appreciate Tom's easy, affable manner, and his superior
technical skills have quickly made him a valued member of our staff
of fine funeral service professionals. Tom is Board-certified as an
intern preceptor for funeral service students, and is co-chair of
the Pandemic Influenza committee of the Georgian Bay Funeral Service
Association. Tom is married to Tracey, a Registered Emergency Nurse,
and lives in Port Elgin. Tom's family keeps him busy, with two sons,
Tom's two daughters and sons-in-law, and three grandsons all providing
entertainment. Tom has quickly put down roots in our community, and
we are pleased to have him as a member of our staff.

Dave, and together are parents of Trish, an elementary teacher with
the Bluewater Board of Education, and Jeff, a graduate student at
the University of Western Ontario. Gail and Dave are strong community-minded
people, and spend much time with the annual Port Elgin Rotary Club's
Jeff Preston Celebrity Golf Tournament, raising funds for Muscular
Dystrophy research. Gail is active in St. Joseph's Parish and is a
strong booster of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She gets very grumpy when
they don't prevail! Gail's fine touch is often unseen, but always
evident. Her presence in our office is continually helpful, and her
friendly manner is much appreciated by the public and by our people.
