Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Monday, September 21st, 2009, Cecil Edward Rolfe of Southampton, Ontario in his 74th year. Loving husband of Roma (Stewart) for 49 years. Dear father to Janie (Gray), Thomas (Joanna), William (Elizabeth) and Carole Ann (Andrew). Loving Poppa to Barrett, Tye, Georgia and Darby. Brother of James, Violet, Jean, Dorothy and Shirley (Frank), all of Miramichi, NB. Brother-in-law of Garth (Brenda) and Eleanor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins including his favourite niece Diane (Paul). Survived by his aunt, Dorothy Bamford of NB. Predeceased by his parents, Henry and Nellie and by his brother Vincent. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 25th, 2009. Memorial service will be held at the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Janet Sinclair officiating. Interment at a later date in New Brunswick. Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation or the ALS Society of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
