At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton early on Saturday morning, July 25th, 2009 at the age of 65 years, after a courageous battle with cancer, the former Hilda Mills. Dear wife of Nigel Ord of Port Elgin, Mother of Tracey and her husband Dana Thorne, and “Nana” to Jessica and Rebecca and her partner Jared Emmerson, all of Brantford.. Sister of Ben Mills and his wife Betty and William Mills and his wife Margaret, all of the U.K. Hilda will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Margaret Greenhow officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Port Elgin Legion Branch #340, Auxiliary, will hold a memorial service in the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6.45 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
