Passed away at the age of 84 in Port Elgin, Ontario, on Saturday, February 20, 2010. Survived by his beloved wife Miriam, son Gord (Barb), daughter Judy (Dow) and the lights of his life, grandchildren Stephen and McKenzie. Predeceased by his brother Worthy and sister Winnie.

John enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 17 after which he pursued a career in accounting, earning his CA designation in 1950. He became the youngest partner at Deloitte Haskin and Sells, moved on to Bramalea to work in commercial real estate and eventually ran his own management consulting firm.A fanatical golfer, John was a member of the Thornhill Golf and Country Club for over 40 years. After living most of their life together in Toronto, John and Miriam moved to Port Elgin in 2000.

We will miss his great wit and enthusiasm for life.
