Suddenly at the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Wednesday, June 17th, 2009, at the age of 87 years, the former Marian Smith of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Sandy Lawrie. Mother of Tom and his wife Brenda of Bruce Township, Lois and her husband David Buck of California, and Mary Ann and her husband David Hipgrave of Mississauga. She is also survived by five grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, June 19th, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Janet Mac Donald officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Underwood United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Click here
