At the Southampton Care Centre on Saturday evening, July 11th, 2009 at the age of 83 years, John Firth of Port Elgin. Husband of the late Anne Mulvenny Firth. Father of Jacqueline of Port Elgin and John and Karen of Paisley. John is survived by his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, by one brother Fergie Firth of Vancouver and by one sister Peggy Boyd of Northern Ireland. He is predeceased by his sons Bill and Michael. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, July 17th, 2009. Private family funeral arrangements with interment to follow in Ireland. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Click here
