Peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 20th, 2009 at the age of 72 years, Bob Chennette of Port Elgin. Loving husband for 47 years of Eunice (Felhaber) Chennette. Father of Mike and his wife Andrea, and Derek and his wife Nancy. Loving Pa of Janique and Eric and adored Grandpa of Luke and Tayte. Brother of George and his wife Joanne, Eileen Perrault, Rita Reed, Lucille McLeod, Ella and her husband Emile Lamothe. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Marion, by his mother-in-law Edna Felhaber, and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Jane Chennette, brothers Don, Elsworth, Eddie, and Gerald Chennette.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 28th, 2009. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, December 29th, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Linda Nixon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
