| At the Grey-Bruce Health Services in Southampton, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 25th, 2008, at the age of 65 years, Dale Chappell, of Saugeen Shores, husband and best friend for 46 years of the former Carol Carefoot, dear father of Kim, and Terry and his wife Tina, all of Saugeen Shores, Grandpa to Brittney King and Ricardo Jorge of Hanover, Megan and Ashley King, and Kenton and Travis Chappell. Also surviving are two step-granddaughters Leia and her husband Eric, and Lauren and her husband Jason, and three step-great-granddaughters. Dale is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bev and Walter Hyde of Manitoulin Island, by two nephews Richard and Paul Hyde, and by two nieces Kristy MacKay and Tammy Cobean. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Mary Chappell, and by his brother Don. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 27th. Funeral service will be conducted in Port Elgin United Church on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.
